Ramadhan Break Fast with the Orphanage




On 18 July 2013, Four Points by Sheraton Kuching associates went a step further appreciate the true essence of this holy month of Ramadhan by chipped in to bring 40 orphanage children age 7-12 years old fromLembaga Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Sarawak (PERYATIM) to indulge and pamper their taste buds in Ramadhan Balik Kampung treats at The Eatery, Four Points by Sheraton Kuching’s multiple-award winning restaurant.

This has been a practice for Four Points by Sheraton Kuching under the Care for Community projects for the past four years where its associates volunteered their time and efforts to give something back to the community.

“I’m happy to see more and more associates participating in the meaningful activities under our Care for Community initiatives. It shows that they realize every sponsor, in their own big or small way, enabled these less-privileged children to experience the life’s simple pleasures. Thanks to various departments who volunteer to spent their time after working hours to entertain the children. Once again, I would like to thanks the Four Points team for their time, donations and kind heart”, said Zurina Abdullah, the Human Resource Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Kuching.

Fun CPR Training at Four Points


In compliance with Starwood Safety Standards the Four Points by Sheraton Kuching recently trained all its managers and its Emergency Response Team in CPR and First Aid techniques. The team underwent an intensive two day training course followed by a written and a practical exam.

 “Four Points by Sheraton Kuching has always stressed the importance continuous training and development for our associates. This training is part of our initiative that to make sure our team members are ready, willing and able to deal with any emergency” said Paolo Campillo, General Manager.

This week all the buzz was about Four Points by Sheraton Kuching being awarded the Hospitality Asia Platinum Award as Best Four Star Hotel/Resort in Malaysia 2010-2012 and the Eatery Restaurant being recognized as one of Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards Top 10 Best All Day Dining Restaurants in Malaysia 2010-2012.

Four Points by Sheraton Kuching recently has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence 2012 with 4.0 rating by TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website. This achievement reflects all the feedbacks from the real travelers and guest of Four Points by Sheraton Kuching.


The award gives recognition to the highly rated accommodations, restaurants and attractions which consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor. In order to qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the number of reviews received within the last 12 month.

A TIME FOR GIVING AND SHARING @ FOUR POINTS KUCHING

20 December 2012, Four Points by Sheraton Kuching associates went a step further to appreciate the true essence of this season’s festive celebrations and merriment by reaching out to the less-privileged. Their generous personal contributions and efforts enabled has 36 children aged 7-18 years old from The Salvation Army (Kuching Boy’s Home) to savour some pampering and Christmas treats at The Eatery, Four Points by Sheraton Kuching’s multiple-award winning restaurant.


Motivational encouragement, sharing of carrier experiences, laughter and fun photo taking are some of the activities of that night, which makes the charity dinner more meaningful. Before their departure, the children entertained the associates and hotel guest with a joyful and melodious Christmas Carol. The success of this event shows that the associates once again see the significance of giving and sharing; not just with near and dear ones, but also how their individual efforts and contributions enable the less fortunate members of our community to experience life’s little indulgences.  Thanks again, Four Points Kuching team for the generosity!
